Holker Hall & Gardens	Holker hall is one of the friendliest stately homes in Britain today, owned by Lord & Lady Cavendish this hall has no ropes or barriers to restrict your viewing. It is surrounded by some inspirational gardens rated as some of the best in the world. The Lakeland Motor Museum is an added bonus to this day out incorporating the Campbell Bluebird Exhibition, plus much more.
Jennings Brewery	Tour around Jennings Castle Brewery and get a unique insight into the beers and brewing methods. The tour is complete with the chance to sample some of the finest ales, whether you choose a glass of the famous Jennings Bitter or one of the other fine beers such as Cumberland Ale or Cocker Hoop your sure to have an enjoyable visit. There are over 150 Jennings pubs in the north of England and several are in walking distance of the brewery, so why not visit one and be sure of a warm welcome.
Coniston Launch	This is your opportunity to cruise around the whole of Coniston Lake. This is the only tour to the south of the lake and you can land at Lake Bank, Parkamor, Sunny Bank, Torver, Brantwood and Monk Coniston. Coniston water retains the qualities of peace, remoteness and adventure that will appeal to the true 'laker'. Here it is possible to escape for a while and enjoy a Lake District that has almost ceased to exist-except in our imaginations.
Brantwood/Ruskin Museum	Brantwood is the most beautifully situated house in the lake district. It enjoys the finest lake and mountain views in England and there is no other house in the district with such a diversity of cultural associations. The house is filled with Ruskin's drawings and watercolours, together with much of his original furniture, books and personal items. Along the mountain paths you can explore the gardens, pastures, woods and high moors and experience the beauty for yourself.
Honister Slate Mine	Honister Slate Mine is the last working mine in England today. The wonderful tradition of slate mining has become a dying art over the last century so why not take a glimpse of its trades and traditions first hand on one of their daily tours or visit their exquisite Masonry Showroom to see real craftsmen at work. .
Dove Cottage, Grasmere	This award-winning museum displays the Wordsworth Trust's unique collection of manuscripts, books and paintings interpreting the life and work of Wordsworth, his family and circle. To make up this great day out pay a visit to the shop which sells books, gifts and local crafts or the tea rooms for a locally produced meal or snack
Rookin House Farm	Try an exciting day out at Rookin House farm and experience the beauty of the lakeland countryside and it's changing seasons from the back of a horse. Horses are available for all ages, sizes and riding capabilities. However if it's another activity you want then this is the place to be as Rookin House offers something for everyone from quad bikes to human bowling to clay pigeon shooting. Platty + Watersports	Visit Platty + and have a go at sailing, canoeing, kayaking or maybe try powerboating or dragonboating. Get a group together and go dragonboating, for all shapes, sizes and ages up to 20 people. Dinghy sailing for everybody, young or old everyone is welcome.
Muncaster Castle/Gdns	Explore the historic Haunted Castle, thrill to wildlife on the wing at the World Owl Centre, discover thousands of exotic plants in the Himalayan Gardens, experience the dangers of meadowland in the Meadowvole Maze. Whilst in the area you can also witness the Cumbrian landscape by steam train. The historic Ravenglass and Eskdale railway is only minutes from Muncaster and can be included as a supplementary option for a full day out for the family.
Ravenglass/Eskdale R'wy	For a wonderful day out la'al Ratty Station is the ideal starting point for a magical steam journey to Eskdale. Visit the delightful village of Boot, only a short walk from the station or Eskdale Watermill and tumbling river all make this day out well worth while.
South Lakes Animal Park	Take a trip around the world and visit South Africa, South America, Indonesia and Australia for the closest wild animal experience in Europe. Settle/Carlisle Railway	The Settle to Carlisle railway is one of the last great mainline railways left in England today. The landscape provided the engineers of its time with a tremendous challenge but resulted in this wonderful structure of 72 miles of track and 20 major viaducts and 14 tunnels. It was, and still is, one of the most picturesque routes to Scotland with scenery that can only be described as unbeatable.
